Sabit Esati | Cyber Security & IT Portfolio

Professional Overview

Hi, I’m Sabit an IT and cyber security professional in development with over a decade of experience across retail operations, trade supply, and smart technology environments.

My interest in technology began early and developed naturally over time. Growing up, I was often the go-to person within my family for troubleshooting devices, setting up systems, and solving technical issues. What started as curiosity gradually evolved into a structured career path focused on understanding not just how systems operate — but how they are secured.

Professionally, I built my foundation in high-volume commercial environments, developing operational discipline, accountability, and strong customer engagement skills. I now work hands-on with Bluetooth-based IoT systems, Wi-Fi gateway integrations, access control configurations, and digital platforms bridging technical application with operational oversight.

Academically, I hold an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (Computer & Network Engineering), a Certificate III in Information Technology, and I am currently completing a Certificate IV in Cyber Security

A meticulously arranged flat-lay of cyber security study materials on a pure white desk: an open black notebook filled with tidy, hand-drawn network topology diagrams, a slim black tablet displaying a grayscale terminal window with abstract log lines, and a pair of minimalist black over-ear headphones resting neatly beside them. All objects have clean, modern lines with smooth matte textures. Soft, even overhead studio lighting eliminates harsh contrasts while still defining edges with gentle shadows. Shot directly from above with sharp focus across the frame, the composition is balanced using the rule of thirds, leaving intentional negative space. The photographic, minimalist style and monochrome palette convey disciplined learning, analysis, and a professional approach to cyber security studies.

Technical Development Focus

My technical development is currently centred on strengthening foundational infrastructure knowledge and controlled security experimentation. This includes networking fundamentals such as IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP, alongside hands-on work with Windows Server lab environments and introductory Active Directory configuration.

I regularly deploy virtual machines to simulate controlled environments for testing, analysis, and structured learning. Alongside this, I continue developing competency in risk assessment methodologies and incident response principles, with exposure to the Australian Essential Eight framework as a baseline for understanding organisational security posture.

This portfolio documents practical lab work, structured research, and applied experimentation as I progressively build technical depth and analytical capability.

Core Values

My approach to cyber security is grounded in continuous growth, discipline, and structured thinking. Technology evolves rapidly, and maintaining relevance requires deliberate learning and consistent skill development. I prioritise building competence through repetition, reflection, and practical application rather than surface-level familiarity.

Accountability and disciplined execution underpin both operational environments and security resilience. Strong systems are not maintained by tools alone, but by ownership, attention to detail, and responsible decision-making.

I value logical analysis and systematic problem-solving, particularly where behavioural risk, infrastructure, and organisational processes intersect. Security, in my view, demands clarity of thought and structured assessment rather than reactive measures. Integrity remains non-negotiable. Security environments are built on trust, and ethical conduct must guide both research and practice.

Professional Philosophy

Security is not purely technical it is behavioural, operational, and strategic. Technology alone does not create security. Disciplined processes, informed users, and structured risk management do.

My goal is to combine operational experience with technical depth, contributing to environments where resilience and accountability are embedded into everyday practice.
